Description
Looking for controller for local growing business.
• Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, including risk mitigation plans and opportunity forecasting.
• Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
• Manage cash flow including accounts receivables and accounts payables
• Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business
• Provide supporting tax documentation to corporate tax office
• Support tax return preparation including R&D tax credit analysis
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
• Develop financial reviews for quarterly meetings
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Support audits for Sarbanes-0xley compliance, GAAP compliance and DCAA compliance
To be considered the candidate must a have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and must be a U.S. Citizen.
The following attributes are not required but are desirable in the right candidate:
• Minimum of five years’ experience
• CPA license is highly desired
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficient with ERP systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and specifically Excel
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
The pay for this position will be commensurate with the candidates experience and demonstrated capabilities.
