Join us at Wood Hat Spirits as owner Gary Hinegardner takes us behind the scenes at his distillery to focus on corn! Steve Akley of the ABV Network will join Gary Hinegardner on a tour of the corn fields behind the distillery at Wood Hat Spirits. There is a two-week window where all of the varities of corn planted will be represented in the fields. Gary will share his knowledge of a lifetime spent in agronomy and the spirits industry to talk about the varietals and what impact they may have on whiskey. There probably isn't a single person more knowledgeable on this subject as Gary Hinegardner so it should be a very special day. Of course, no distillery visit is complete without tasting some whiskey so we'll be doing that too! A few notes about this event: 1. You must be 21 years of age or older to participate. 2. The tour invovles walking so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. 3. There may be mud/dirt in the fields so dress appropriately.
