Improve your improv with Dr. Cameron Carlson
Boost your confidence as you work on improv & comedic skills in this fun and friendly community environment. These free drop-in classes are for those interested in learning and/or refining Improv. You can expect to participate in some basic games, and building blocks (rules), scene work, and a whole bunch of fun!
No previous experience in comedy, improv or acting is required for these free drop-in events. Open to ages 16 & above.
Classes take place in The Kitchen, on the mezzanine level above the Public Market.
Led by Dr. Cameron Carlson, artistic director for MADCAP Comedy & Improv Troupe, a division of Carlson Acting and Performance Services, LLC. If you enjoy these free drop-in classes, he will be teaching an 8 week Intro to Comedy & Improv at the Lenexa Rec Center on Tuesday evenings starting Aug. 24.
The Lenexa Public Market is an indoor food hall and marketplace near 87th Street Parkway and I-435 at Lenexa City Center. It features a variety of merchants that offer fresh foods and locally sourced products.
