She never got better, and discovered she had a chronic illness called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). With this new diagnosis brought missed days of school, extreme lifestyle changes, and depression. Neeley knew she needed to find a way out of the dark hole she felt trapped in. This is where Neeley's Chronic Joy Foundation was born. Neeley has found her purpose and works to help other chronically ill children find theirs. Neeley's Chronic Joy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides ongoing activities to chronically ill children, between the ages of 3-18, that they can do despite their illness. We also work to provide for the families basic needs, provide wanted and needed items, send monthly encouraging cards, create parties where the child can celebrate their strength, and provide ongoing support.
