The Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association is creating an annual admission-free space to celebrate queer Black, Indigenous, Asian American, Latinx, Pacific Islander, etc. communities and our joy.
Our first annual Pride of Color will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 12PM to 6PM at the Northeast Lawn of Lake Eola Park.
We will have food, local organizations, artists, performances, and most importantly, culture! Join us as we honor the LGBTQ+ communities of color in the Orlando area and beyond, our voices both past and present, and our rich history.
The Orlando Queer & Trans Asian Association (OQTAA, pronounced ”octa”) is an organization whose purpose is to bring together LGBTQ individuals of Asian descent in the Central Florida area. OQTAA’s vision is to provide a community for queer and trans Asians to celebrate their experiences and intersections, while simultaneously finding resources and affirmation relating to the queer and trans Asian identity. The organization focuses on empowering the queer and trans Asian identity through culture and community.
