Our development company is looking to IMMEDIATLY hire an experienced skilled commercial carpenter to join our team to complete our new restaurant in the downtown Gilroy location. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable and have good communication and organizational skills. You may work on a variety of projects, including cabinet making, framing, decking, customizations, molding, and baseboard installations. Our ideal candidate has an aptitude for precision and can accommodate unique build requirement. We prefer candidates who have prior experience or training in trim carpentry or finish carpentry. Responsibilities: • Understands the carpentry scope of project • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. • Keep attention to detail • Handling heavy loads; Physical demands • Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout and installation • Conduct work on installation of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, sand other fixtures as required • Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials • Ability to operate tools, machines and other equipment • Compliance with local building codes and health and safety regulations • Completes work • Equip with PPE and carpentry trade tools • Trouble shoot and repair issues Requirements: • Effective interpersonal skills • Team Player • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or minimum of four years’ of experience as a journey-level carpenter.
