Matching movement to music, we'll have a live DJ free-styling to match our flow, creating an all sensory experience. No prior experience necessary, classes are designed to cater to every body shape and size. We'll begin with a slow vinyasa flow to wake up the muscles, followed by light snacks and meditation. Early afternoon will be our second class that utilizes the ground work from our vinyasa flow, we'll explore preparation and flight into more advanced poses. There will be time in between sessions to mingle and admire the sculptures. Slow Vinyasa Flow: Wake up the body and mind through intentional movement. We'll focus on connecting with the breath, allowing it's rhythm to guide us naturally. We'll flow through seated and standing poses, using modifications to make it accessible to everyone. This class will have foundational principles that we'll leverage for our Yoga Sculpt class later in the afternoon. Bring any props you typically incorporate into your practice. Grounding Meditation: This will be 30 minutes of focusing our attention towards the environment around us and deepening our focus inward. A guided meditation to help you feel connected to the present moment, opening your senses and connecting with your inner strength and resilience. We'll practice small muscle movements and breathing techniques to build up our focus for yoga sculpt. Yoga Sculpt: Closing out our event we'll leverage what we learned in the first two classes and explore stillness in balancing poses. These poses will be held slightly longer as we work smaller muscles that contribute to balance. You'll be guided slowly into more challenging poses such as half moon and warrior three, with plenty of modifications to make it accessible to all. Get ready to sweat, this is where the magic happens. Fine Print: Your ticket covers yoga, meditation, snacks and a round of mini-golf at Big Stone. Bring a mat, any props (such as blocks or yoga straps), and reusable cups/water bottles. This is an outdoor event that is weather dependent, if the event is cancelled due to rain we'll offer the option to carry your ticket over to the next event or be reimbursed. Instructor Bio: I'm an adventurer at heart and a wanderer by nature, whether kayaking down rivers or getting lost in the woods, I always find myself in my practice. I've practiced yoga for over a decade and as a teacher my joy comes from seeing students discovering themselves through yoga. My classes are generally a slow/medium pace where we focus on breath-work and body awareness. I firmly believe that tuning in with ourselves brings us to enlightenment, because once we know what is in our hearts we can share it with the world. Throughout class, you'll let go of expectations and find peace in being present. When you're ready, let's meet on the mat.
