Qualifications: This person should have a high school diploma and be curious about plants and plant health. Organization, fast learning, and motivated individuals will be considered for this position. Be ready to learn the processes currently in place and improve upon them using the growing knowledge of the industry. We will be looking for individuals with a good work ethic and a problem-solving demeanor. General Description: The Lead Upcycler is responsible for developing and maintaining a clean and efficient zone to transform green-waste materials into valuable resources. As this is a new/developing position it will involve a lot of research and experimentation with processes & equipment. While developing new systems & processes, the Lead Upcycler must at minimum communicate with all relevant team leads to make sure that they always have space to dispose of their downcycle resources in a compliant, safe, and efficient fashion, even when the long-term plan for different material classes is unclear. Required Skills & Abilities: • Exceptional personal organization & attention to details • Ability to take direction and follow/learn SOPs • Positive attitude • Ability to maintain clean workspace • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Retain focus during routine cyclical tasks • Possibility to work weekends is helpful • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly General Roles and Responsibilities: • Work with Farm team on developing and implementing actionable plans to improve our upcycling processes • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance of upcycling zone • Develop a system of protocols and signage to keep downcycle resources organized • Communicate with all departments to ensure downcycle resources are dumped/sorted according to protocol • Communicate with all departments to understand their dumping needs and ensure space is available and clearly labelled in the appropriate timeframe • As processes scale, ensure that our systems are compliant with relevant cannabis, water board, etc. regulations • As needed, work with contractors on their schedule Project Development: • Research and understand all new processes, familiarize self with relevant industry standard procedures & equipment • Source necessary equipment, machinery, materials, etc. to begin new processes • Construct and maintain anything necessary to implement processes • Maintain thorough & detailed logs of processes, inputs, & outputs Equipment and Machinery: • Understand the usage of (read manuals & YouTube) and properly maintain and store all farm equipment and machinery used in upcycling zone • Convene with relevant parties for sourcing, pricing, and coordinating acquisition of new equipment for upcycling Our 3 brands encompass our ethos and have strong traction in the California marketplace.
