JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Facilities Supervisor Work Location: 4139 Alpine Road, Portola Valley, CA 94028 Reports to: Facilities Director Compensation: Based on Skills and Experience About Employer: Alpine Hills Tennis & Swimming Club is a Private, Member-Owned facility located in Portola Valley, California. Alpine Hills is offering an immediate opening for a Full Time Facilities Supervisor. Position Overview: Individual will be responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures. Assists in various maintenance tasks and assists the Facilities Director in the performance of various duties. Performs general cleaning and a variety of skilled duties in landscaping, grounds keeping, plumbing, pool chemistry and care, electrical and other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining building and grounds. Essential Functions: • Assist in pool maintenance and pool care • Lead and/or perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance necessary to Club interior/exterior • Assists and performs skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the Club • Inspect property and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and general cleanup and maintenance • Lead and/or perform general grounds keeping daily; inspect outside Club areas, ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in safe condition • Lead and/or performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility; clean rooms, hallways, lounges, rest and locker rooms, parking lots, and other work areas. • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Facilities Director REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: • CPO Certification Preferred • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours • Must be able to work on weekend assignments • Must be able to work on some holidays Education / Work Experience: • One year experience as a semiskilled worker in one or more of the basic building and grounds maintenance trades OR experience in Private Club maintenance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 30 to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist. Indoor/ outdoor work environment with exposure to weather extremes Other Required Abilities: • Must be able to effectively communicate • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction • Self-starter and Team player; Leadership Skills • Must have basic understanding of how facility-related things work • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools • Must be able to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks • Must be able to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints Send RESUMES to email address provided by CL.
