As preferred vendors of GossBoss and The Solid Brand Sessions, Emily and Courtney yield questions from clients during their styling about how to replicate their looks at home or the products they are using - come to find out that most products are not just for professionals and the finished looks are pretty easy to achieve too! ABOUT EMILY: Growing up in Pittsburgh, I knew my passion was in the beauty industry. When the time came, I applied and was admitted into The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA. I received my degree in Merchandise Marketing of Cosmetics and Fragrance. At FIDM, I was lucky enough to be taught by highly regarded professionals from major beauty companies. Moving back to Pittsburgh after graduation, I continued my education at South Hills Beauty Academy and received my Estheticians License. Recently, I just completed my Covid-19 Barbicide Certification. I now work out of my own studio in Mt. Lebanon. ABOUT COURTNEY: After a successful 14 year career in NYC that took her from an internship at MTV to her dream job as the Hair Department Head of The Tonight Show, home was calling. With her beautiful girls and her husband by her side Courtney was excited to start the next chapter of her career back in Pittsburgh. Since moving to focus on her family, she has continued to pursue her passion. In addition to a busy wedding and special events calendar, she recently worked on the Netflix series Mindhunter and upcoming Mr. Rogers Feature Film, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” starring Tom Hanks.
