NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are advising motorists to avoid the area of 100 State Street due to a crash. Police said emergency crews are responding to a crash involving a utility pole down across the road. Route 5 is closed in both directions between Devine Street and Broadway because of the crash, according to state transportation officials. State St. has been re-opened for traffic.
