The New York Athletic Club-Travers Island located in the Westchester County is seeking a highly motivated Bartender who can deliver excellent member service.  Essential Functions: · The ability to work “hands on” and in a changing environment. · Act as a self-starter and be productive. · Maintain strong knowledge of popular cocktails, liquors, wines & beers. · Multi-task by giving individual attention while keeping eyes on all needs of the bar. · Follow existing standards and any changes made, defined by the management team. · Take orders accurately, input orders into the POS system in a timely manner. · Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about ingredients and menu items. · Maintain cleanliness and organization in all beverage storage areas. · Setup and breakdown for events and daily operations. · Handle feedback with a positive attitude, always conducting yourself professionally. · Ensure proper steps of service are being followed in accordance with club standards. · Promote excellent membership experiences with a positive and engaging personality. · Work with team towards the common goal of delivering excellent service. · Complete tasks outside of the everyday job duties, come special circumstances. Qualifications and Experience: · Previous experience in the restaurant or catering industry is preferred. · Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. · Ability to multi-task with a positive attitude while working under pressure. · Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced work environment. · Ability to retain and reiterate verbal information given. · Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. · High-energy, strong outgoing personality with strong communication skills. · Team player able to foster relationships with Members, Guests and Employees. · Experience with a POS (Point of Sale) system.
