AUSTIN, TX — Austin City Limits Music Festival has dropped rapper DaBaby from their 2021 lineup following homophobic and disparaging comments he made on stage in Miami on July 25.
The festival announced Tuesday morning on its Twitter account that the popular rapper will no longer be performing at the festival and promised a lineup update soon.
DaBaby was supposed to headline both Sundays of the festival, which is scheduled to take place Oct. 1-3 and 8-10 in Zilker Park. Both weekends of ACL Fest are sold out.

"Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight," festival organizers said in a tweet on Sunday.
The rapper is being slammed on social media following disparaging comments he made about people living with AIDS that he made on stage during his set at Rolling Loud Festival on July 25 in Miami.
On Wednesday morning, the artist was also dropped from his brand deal with boohooMAN.
DaBaby issued an apology on social media late Sunday.
"I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made," the rapper said in a statement. "Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important."
