1st Oreo Café Opens At NJ's American Dream Mall

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — For superfans of one legacy cookie brand, East Rutherford's American Dream may have just opened their personal dream come true. On Tuesday, Oreo opened the first ever Oreo Café on the third floor of the IT'SUGAR store at the mall. Touting a "first-of-its-kind treats bar," visitors can now customize their desserts, and even develop new creations, like an Oreo waffle sundae or Oreo cookies and cream cheesecake. Also available for purchase are milkshakes, cookie packs and even candles. The store will also offer a secret menu item, which the company revealed on Instagram in the hours prior to the opening. View this post on Instagram A post shared by OREO (@oreo) Limited edition Oreo gear and other Oreo products will be sold at the store, but customers outside of the Tri-State region will still be able to shop online at the IT'SUGAR and Oreo website, the company said. Oreo and Nabisco have had a long history in Bergen County, but this opening marks a return after a short hiatus.
