Inaugural Pig Roast, Luau At Plainfield Lions Fundraiser

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield Lions Club is returning with its legendary silent auction later this summer and with a few new additions this time. The Aug. 14 event will also include the fundraiser's first-ever luau and pig roast. Starting at 6 p.m. that Saturday at the American Legion Marne Post 13, 24741 W. Renwick Road, guests can indulge in a smoked pig roast dinner from Uncle Bob's and enjoy live entertainment. Plainfield's Chasing Amy will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by a late-night luau and fire dance show from Aloha Chicago. Tickets to the event cost $50 per person and can be purchased through this website. All proceeds will go toward the Plainfield Lions Community Charities.
