Press release from the Greater Omaha Chamber: July 30, 2021 Please join the First Responders Foundation at our 5th Annual 9/11 Luncheon of Honor. This event will honor local first responder heroes and will mark the 20th Anniversary of 9/11/2001. This annual event is also a fundraiser for the First Responders Foundation. The funds are used to support programs and events the Foundation provides for first responders, veterans, and their families throughout the year. The programming and events provided include behavioral health, physical health, financial health, and spiritual health classes and services. The event will begin with a minute of silence in remembrance of 9/11. Opening remarks will be made by our CEO, Al Batschelet, and President, Todd Sears. During lunch, we will hear from University of Nebraska President Ted Carter. The luncheon will include the tradition of inducting those who have made a difference in the lives of first responders and the Foundation and those who have made a great impact in the community into the Ancient Order of Saint Florian and Saint Michael.
