Buckingham Friends School, a K-8 independent school in Lahaska, PA, is seeking a Middle School Soccer Coach for our co-ed team this fall beginning September 13th and concluding on October 27th. Practices and games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  Major Responsibilities: Follows and upholds policies and mission statement of Buckingham Friends SchoolPlanning practice sessionsInstruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for the development and athletic achievement in the sport Travel to and from off-site locations (contests) with student-athletesDemonstrate proper sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct towards the student-athletes, opposing team, officials, spectators, etc. Ensure a positive environment free of harassment, bullying, and intimidating language and behaviors - aligned with our mission statement. Qualifications: Prior coaching or teaching experience in the sport, experience as a competitor is preferred, but not required Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport at the middle school level Prior experience working in an educational setting is preferred, but not required Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of student-athletesExcellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships with administrators, student-athletes, and parentsFirst Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trainedAll valid background clearances (PA Criminal History, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprint reports Applicants should email a cover letter, resume, and current Pennsylvania State Clearances to Tonia Maschi, Athletic Director, at [email protected].
