MOORESVILLE, NC —The Mooresville Board of Commissioners' will meet in person Monday evening, and will discuss numerous items, including accepting $6.2 million in COVID relief funding and the voluntary annexation of several parcels of land. The meeting, which will be simultaneously live-streamed, is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. at The Charles Mack Citizen Center, located at 215 N. Main Street in Mooresville. "The public is invited to attend or view the live stream by visiting mooresvillenc.gov/live," the town said. "Please note if you plan to attend, the current CDC recommendations will be followed." According to the Aug. 2 meeting agenda, commissioners will consider items including: Accepting $6.2 million in American Rescue Plan funding Reducing the speed limit in the Woodburn Crossing neighborhood to 25 mph Advancing the voluntary annexation of several parcels of land, including parcels on Rocky River Road and off Fern Hill Road, to a public hearing Approving the $150,000 purchase of a new day cab road tractor for the sanitation department, a new $51,000 remote control slow mower for the stormwater department and $27,000 purchase of nine mobile radios for the police patrol cars The full agenda for the Aug. 2 meeting may be found here.
