BALDWIN PARK, CA — A Los Angeles woman killed when the vehicle she was driving rear-ended a big rig on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park was publicly identified Monday.
Sandy Rocha was 36 years old, the coroner's office said.
The crash occurred about 4:15 a.m. Sunday on the westbound San Bernardino Freeway at Frazier Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 2011 Hyundai rear-ended the 2013 Freightliner due to unsafe speed for the traffic conditions, the CHP said. The woman driving the Hyundai, now identified as Rocha, was pronounced dead at the scene. The big-rig driver was not injured.
The CHP's Baldwin Park area office urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 626-338-1164.
