An informal music jam (we don't play in public) has relocated from Arlington to our home in western Springfield. Due to that relocation, we have guitarists but are short melody-instrument players - fiddle, clarinet, flute, whatever. While you need not be a virtuoso at your instrument (I'm not!), these sessions aren't intended for beginners. We have copies of 4 binders of sheet music (notes and chords), in the following categories - old-time fiddle (plus a few old-time blues) - swing - Scandanavian fiddle - Django fakebook We meet every first and third (and fifth) Tuesday evening, 7:30 - 10:00. If you know someone who might like to join us, please reply to this posting. I'm looking for RSVPs for Aug. 17, and general interest even if they can't make the 17th. We've all had our COVID vaccines; you must as well in order to join us.
