Here are the top stories in Duluth today: Gwinnett County Public Schools are working with our local health department to increase the vaccination rate against COVID-19. (Gwinnettdailypost.com) As the school year begins with masks being mandated, the Democrats in Gwinnett's state House delegation donated more than 30,000 face masks to our county's schools. (Gwinnettdailypost.com) A local woman who intentionally wrecked her car in Duluth to kill her passenger, Tauheed Ferguson, was sentenced into the county jail last night for felony murder, aggravated assault, reckless driving, DUI and theft by taking. (Atlanta Journal Constitution) Councilman Kelly Kelkenberg, who was heavily involved in the Duluth community, has died. Klekenberg was widely known in our community and is highly regarded by all. My condolences go to the family. (Gwinnettdailypost.com) A local 19-year-old man is charged with murder in the shooting of his brother in a Duluth apartment complex, Northwood Lake Court.
