TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two men from outside of the state were arrested over the weekend in Tuscaloosa on human trafficking charges following an extensive investigation. The bust also identified five potential human trafficking victims The men charged were identified as Rodriquez Johntrell Brantley, 41, of Ruston, Louisiana, and Manchez Crumbley, 31, of LaGrange, Georgia. Both were charged with promoting prostitution and are being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with additional charges expected. Click here to subscribe to our free Tuscaloosa Daily newsletter and breaking news alerts The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force says it partnered with the Tuscaloosa Police Department's Cyber Crimes division, Homeland Security Investigations and the East Metro Area Crime Center to conduct the two-night reverse undercover operation targeting the commercial sex trade. The operation took place July 30 and July 31. The five potential trafficking victims were from Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana. They were each reportedly offered counseling and services by Trafficking Hope and the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center, with one being transported to a shelter.
