Need female acoustic rhythm guitar/vocal

Meets

Webster MA

Description

I’m looking for a female, acoustic rhythm guitarist/vocalist, with a good knack for harmonies. Strong belting voice not needed. Reasonably good pitch accuracy is. You should be good enough on the guitar to at least be able to strum your way through a song, solo. You would be replacing half of a working, male/female duo. Ability to perform lead vocal on at least a few songs is pretty much a must. If you have ability to do more than that, and you would like to, all the better, but it is not required. Most of our gigs are restaurants, wineries, private parties, seasonal outdoor events, breweries, coffee houses, etc. Most often, the demographic in these types of venues respond exceedingly well to 60’s and 70’s classic light rock, and/or folk/folk rock. We do also have a few, more straight-ahead rock-and-roll selections. We have been using this formula with great success for almost eight years now. I’ve never received so many compliments on a play list as we do now. We never lose sight of the fact that our job is to provide entertainment. Once we get a booking somewhere, we ALWAYS get called back. Sampling of artist; James Taylor, Neil Young, CSNY, Eagles, Kinks, Dylan, Mamas & Papas, America, Turtles, Hollies, Beatles, Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, and many more. Current song list is just shy of 80 songs, even though we’ve “retired” quite a few. I have way more material than is needed for three or maybe even four hours of continuous performance. If this type of material is something that speaks to you, and you meet the requirements above, I’d love to hear from you. Age is not important, but in the interest of full disclosure, I’m probably older than you, but I don’t look my age. Unless you’re very young, we probably wouldn’t look like a mismatch. (Not to say that, that would be a deal-breaker.) Stage appearance and demeanor is important to me. Yours should be better than mine. If you can bring any “accent instruments” into the mix, that would be a huge plus. As for me, decades of experience in bands and as a soloist. Strong on guitar skills except for improvising. Proficient finger-picker, and not too shabby on the harp. I don’t consider myself to be a great vocalist, but somehow I’ve managed to get by. Contact information is in the photo. If you have a specific question that is going to count you in or out, you may email me. Otherwise, if you’re interested, I would much prefer that you call me. I will not engage in endless back-and-forth emails. I CAN NOT receive texts at the phone number shown. Pete
