I love to sing songs sung by: Cecile McLorin Salvant (jazz) Monica Salmaso (post-bossa nova) Rachel Price (pop soul) Carmen McRae (jazz) Deolinda! (Portuguese new fado) Janelle Monae (pop r&b - old stuff aka ArchAndroid album) Andrew Bird (indie) Lady Gaga (pop - I like her old stuff) I’m inspired by the vibeee of these folks, but don’t really sound like them at all: Björk, Annette Peacock, Erykah Badu I’m an alto wannabe — I naturally have a higher range, but I love a deep rich sound. I dream of making original music, but don’t yet. I have a keyboard and played when I was little and am re-learning now. Also want to learn the portuguese guitarra. I sang in jazz ensembles and musical theater revues in college. What else…? Generally lookin’ for some music buds!
