The maintenance technician is responsible for the overall regularly scheduled preventative maintenance of mechanical systems throughout the property, as well as repairs and maintenance due to wear and tear on Franciscan Renewal Center buildings and grounds. Key Responsibilities: · Ensure buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standard. · Coordinate completion of work orders in a timely manner. · Coordinate preventative maintenance program tasks to ensure equipment is properly maintained and preventing failure. · Lead and teach by example to existing as well as new team members. · Maintain general cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Facilities department. · Organize and maintain inventories of tools, supplies and equipment · Observe personnel and function to ensure smooth and efficient operations. · Procure items located off campus as directed if necessary. · Complete daily tasks and work orders as assigned by manager. Other duties as assigned or needed to create an excellent stay for our guests. Highest Priority Personal Attributes: · Ability to work under pressure with interruptions while maintaining a positive Franciscan attitude · Manage time efficiently between scheduled and non-scheduled items · Ability to anticipate needs in a variety of situations · Clearly communicate needs · Treat guests and staff with respect · Maintain good personal appearance · Be mindful of safety at all times/reporting hazards to supervisor Willingness to take classes/trainings to strengthen skills as needed Qualifications: · Must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 pounds · Considerable knowledge of all facets of building, grounds and mechanical maintenance. · Ability to do light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry repair, and painting Proficient in pool water chemistry and maintenance
