Description
For rehoming is an adult male African Sulcata Tortoise. His name is Crush! Named after the Turtle from the movie Finding Nemo! Crush is approximately the size of a 5 gallon bucket 🪣 & I took a couple photos of Crush next to a 5 gallon bucket for size comparison! Unfortunately Crush does not get along with the other much larger male Tortoise that I have as they continuously fight over our large Female tortoise 🐢 & I do not want Crush to get hurt. They have been separated however, it is not fair for Crush or the larger male as one of them do not always have free roaming of the yard when placed in the Tortoise enclosure therefore, I have decided to go ahead and rehome Crush at this time. You must have a large yard with plenty of grass as 80%+ of Crush’s diet is grazing on green grass! Please do not have a pool or the pool area must be fenced off from the rest of the yard with grass! Crush is fine around other pets such as dogs, as long as the other pet or dog is fine with him. I have a very large Rottweiler that is always around the Tortoises and never bothers them and the Tortoises never bother him either. But if other pets are in the house, you must first make sure that the other pets will not attack Crush, as some dogs & cats may be aggressive towards Tortoises! If you have any questions or anything then please feel free to ask or let me know! The rehoming fee for Crush will be $200. If you have never owned a Tortoise as a pet, please do your research before ever considering adopting a Tortoise! They are fairly easy to care for as most of their diet is grazing on grass & he can also have hay although he is not a huge fan of eating hay and can be picky at times. Grass hays to offer include: Timothy, meadow grass, oat hay, orchard grass. Crush can also eat clover, edible flowers (nasturtium, geraniums, hibiscus, rose petals) and shrubs. Approximately 3 times a week I would recommend feeding Crush with other Tortoise foods such as green lettuce, Kale, collard greens, carrots, red radishes, among other similar foods. He can also have some fruits sparingly (as sort of a treat once a week) including Apples, watermelon, pumpkin, strawberries, berries, etc. You can find a long list of good foods for Tortoises to eat! If you are interested in Crush, please shoot me a text or call. If you call & I do not pick up then please leave a voicemail or send a text or else I will not call back. Thank you!
