Hello, My name is Pamela and I have been a Montessori teacher for 17+ years. Montessori education is not a religious teaching as some may think. It is a different philosophy for teaching young children and it's a very child led environment. Not all children are on the same learning curve, some need more time to learn and some need more challenging work. I have a structured environment and all children work on different things at the same time. Some are coloring or reading, some work on numbers and letters, many love to cut and work on crafts. I also work one on one with the older children (4/5) to prepare them for Kindergarten and what is basically expected of them. Children in my school learn reading, writing, math, social awareness, boundaries, rules for Kindergarten and social norms. We have circle time, sing, dance, have story time, sit with our friends and have fun discussions! Outside time is twice a day, weather permitting. I am looking for 2 more children ages 2.5 - 5, full or part time for the Fall or this summer if needed. My hours are 7:15 to 5:30. I am first aid/CPR certified. I sadly now have no pets but never rule out another cat!! Lunch is provided as well as 2 snacks a day. I have references upon request and my rates are very comparable. .
