Door company is looking for a Warehouse Assistant for our warehouse operations and activities, reporting to the Production & Operations Managers. Responsibilities include preparing door orders for installation, delivery, or pickup, according to schedule, receiving and processing products/parts delivered to the warehouse, picking up products/parts from vendors as needed, performing warehouse inventory controls, and keeping quality standards high. The goal is to increase operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining a safe environment. We are looking for an individual who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, but will ask questions when needed and has effective communication.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and check incoming pick tickets for order parts.
• Retrieve door orders from suppliers according to quantity, size, etc. ensuring accuracy.
• Keep supply & parts rooms organized for easy locating of parts.
• Work with Operations Manager to keep track of completed orders.
• Prepare door orders by gathering parts, for installation, delivery, or pickup.
• Track and manage inventory & perform weekly inventory counts.
• Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
• Drive and pick up/deliver on box truck in the DFW area.
• Inspect warehouse and keep the warehouse clean and safe.
• Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
• Facilitate communication between warehouse staff & office staff
Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Experience working with tools
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Ability to multitask & prioritize workload
• Willingness to roll sleeves up & take initiative, learn, & grow
• Some customer service experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
