Child Care Provider for Autistic Child A very loving Plymouth, MN family is seeking an applied behavior therapist for their 5-year-old son who has autism. He is extremely loving and intelligent. He would excel with a private nanny experienced with special needs kids who are autistic and who have occasional emotional disruptions. His needs are not extreme. He is verbal but not potty trained. Special Needs Nanny The mother is a stay-at-home mom who also wants help with her 18-month-old son. He has average needs and will keep you laughing throughout the day. Previous nannies with therapy, ABA experience, or special needs expertise are urged to apply. A minimum of 2 years of professional behavior therapy experience is required. We are hiring immediately. Nanny Duties Use your teaching experience to produce age-appropriate developmental activities and crafts with both kids. Assist with potty training Feed meals and snacks; help with clean up as needed Enjoy games, projects, and activities with two little children. Assist with toddler tantrums and behavior meltdowns Use your ABA therapy skills as a teacher or assistant to help rectify behavior. Implement occupational, physical, and food therapies that their professional therapists teach you. Take initiative and use critical thinking skills to work with minimal supervision. Preferences Please be legally authorized to work in the United States A high school degree, GED, or equivalent Individuals who attended college or university. Candidates with college degrees and who have majored in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or are licensed to teach K-12. At least two years of paid experience working with infants or newborns in a professional setting Please have former private household experience. We appreciate excellent knowledge of age-appropriate developmental activities Please have exceptional knowledge of emergency care. Candidates with Childhood Development Accreditation (CDA) certification favored. We are looking for a household manager with fantastic communication skills. The nanny needs to have fantastic spelling, reading, and math skills. The nanny will need a reliable car and a clean driving record Open to CPR and First Aid certification Experience as a teaching assistant, a toddler teacher, or an infant lead teacher in a daycare.
