Neutered 1 and a half year old husky male named Charlie

First and foremost I want to start this post by saying that this is being written with a heavy heart. My son and I absolutely love Charlie and this is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Charlie is a sweet affectionate loving protective and loyal boy! He is very athletic and goes on long distance runs with me several days a week. Charlie gets along amazingly with other dogs and has never had a problem with other animals (seems to barley notice cats). My 10 year old son rides him around the house like a horse most of day and can’t get enough of him. That being said Charlie was rescued from an abusive situation and has moments of being unpredictable. Charlie has bitten several people (never broke skin) including myself twice and my son when he first met him. He bit a woman on the hand that came up to pet him when my son waited outside of a store for me. That being said I take Charlie in public daily (sometimes with a muzzle) and he is usually amazing with people. His trainer (I hired a dog trainer who is baffled and perplexed when they hear of incidents) has brought him to dog pros and had him play with lots of Children and strangers and said he never showed any sign of aggression in front of him whatsoever. His aggression is far and few between burn unpredictable. 100 strangers can approach him but he will choose to not like the 101th for some reason and I’m perplexed about what is triggering that behavior. Charlie needs to be in a situation with someone that needs a good farm dog or has lots of space and patience. I live in an apartment and he is too loud when I leave and have been given my final warning with the landlord. Very sad but know that with the right person and situation Charlie will thrive and be an excellent dog. He is neutered potty trained has all his shots and is totally healthy. I am asking a rehomming fee and need to interview anyone interested in Charlie. I invested loads of time and money in Charlie and promise that he is worth it. Charlie deserves a better chance than I was able to give him. Let’s make it happen Portland! Love and Peace.
