Please note that this is an opportunity to participate in a clinical research study.
Have you experienced a traumatic event, such as direct or indirect exposure to death, serious
injury, or sexual violence?
Do you have flashbacks or nightmares about the event?
Do you feel numb or detached from others, activities, or your surroundings?
Do you avoid things that remind you of the event?
You may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study of a new investigational drug,
Brexpiprazole, as a possible treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). All information
will be kept strictly confidential, and will not be shared except as required by law.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
People between the ages of 18 and 65 suffering from symptoms of PTSD and who are able to
travel to the New York State Psychiatric Institute (1051 Riverside Drive) in Manhattan.
Reimbursement for study-related travel may be provided.
PROCEDURES:
l) Screening by phone
2) If eligible, an in-person psychiatric evaluation, physical exams, blood and urine tests, and
EKG assessment
3) If eligible, 12 weeks of study drug
4) Follow-up assessment 3 weeks after study treatment ends
