Hiring event for Millwright/Rigger Job Title: Millwright/ Rigger Location: Fort Mill, SC (willing to travel) Pay: $17 to $23 per hour depending on experience Job Description: Seeking journeyman-level Millwrights and Riggers (at least 3 years’ experience) for assignment local to Goose Creek, SC. Resume required. Millwrights must be experienced with the erection of machinery. This includes tasks such as leveling, aligning and installing machinery on foundations or base plates and setting, leveling and aligning electric motors or other power sources such as turbines with the equipment. Typically, will work with steel and must often combine the skills of other mechanical trades to successfully install industrial machinery or to assemble machine from pre-fabricated parts. Millwrights must also be able to read blueprints and other schematics to aid them in the construction of complex systems. Riggers must be highly specialized in moving jobs that cannot be accomplished by ordinary means and use equipment expressly designed for moving and lifting objects weighing hundreds of thousands or even millions of pounds or kilograms in places where ordinary material handling equipment cannot go. Riggers must work together as a cohesive team, and there must be an environment of trust among riggers because of the potentially dangerous nature of rigging.
