Scroungers Paradise is a unique retail store featuring exotic wood from all over the world. We are looking for a capable wood-worker to gather and plane lumber. Raw wood slabs will often have warping, cupping, or other irregularities, or have an imperfect surface from milling. Wood planing is the best way to achieve a smooth and level wood surface. In this position you will be required to lift at least 50 pounds and use electric and hand tools for wood planing. Some planing experience would be helpful but we’ll train if you have a desire to learn. We are open Monday though Saturday. Hours are flexible from 30 to 40 hours per week but Saturday is required.
