Vocalist/guitarist looking for a fresh start

I'm a vocalist and rhythm guitarist looking to either join or start a project playing rock covers and possibly some originals. I like a variety of artists spanning back to the 60s & 70s (Hendrix, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Sabbath, The Doors, SRV) to alt rock from the 90s (STP, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Candlebox, RHCP, etc.) to modern rock (Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Volbeat, Cage the Elephant, etc.). I'd love to do a mix of all of it but the most important thing to me is to just be able to enjoy playing music with a solid group of people. I'd love to get back to practicing once a week and playing out once a month. I am lucky to have a family that supports what I do and I respect that other people also have priorities outside the band. About Me: I started out playing in an original band which played out over several years and more recently was involved in forming a cover band. I've met a lot of awesome people, and some less than awesome people, along the way and learned a lot about band dynamics, booking and promotions. I recently left a band I helped to build and keep going over 3+ years through some pretty big challenges and it turned into something great. We had a talented group of guys who got along and played rock from the 60s to today. But we got derailed recently. A small scheduling mistake was blown out of proportion and revealed to me my long-time bandmate did not share the respect for me and the time I put in that I had for him and the other guys who made it all possible. So I'm looking to start fresh. I have good equipment, a positive attitude and let most things roll off my back and expect the same of others. No drug or alcohol problems. It's about having fun and playing music that sounds good.
