Job Title: Cleaning technician (2 positions available, full time) The Blue Bell Foundation for Cats is a cage-free sanctuary for 30-40 senior cats, in Laguna Canyon. We currently have two full time opportunities available for the role of Cleaning Technician. These positions are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the two buildings at our facility. The positions are Monday-Friday including holidays. The start time will be between 5:00 and 6:30 a.m. and can be discussed. Job Responsibilities: • Wash and prepare 30-35 litterboxes twice a day • Sweep and mop floors • Scrub floors and walls • Vacuum hard to reach areas • Change linens and cat bedding • Wash, fold and put away laundry –approximately 6-7 loads per day • Wash and fill food and water bowls • Clean cat trees and other surfaces • Wash windows, mirrors, walls, ledges, wire, patios • Dust and clean ceiling fans • Stock supplies and refill as needed • Trash removal • Perform routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs, plunging toilet, tightening loose screws, etc. • Other duties as assigned The successful candidate must also possess the following qualities: • Appreciation and love for cats • Strong work ethic • Reliable transportation • Good communication • Dependable • Detail oriented • Excellent time management skills • Compassionate • Ability to follow direction Physical Requirements: • Must be able to routinely lift 40 pounds • Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity on a daily basis, including, but not limited to climbing up and down ladders, lifting and carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, cleaning and bending. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidates. Our facility is open seven days a week, 365 days a year, so occasional holiday shifts will be required.
