Meet this cute house bun! His name is Oreo. He is about 18 months old and neutered. He is litter trained and we don't have a problem with accidents unless he comes near our rabbit (who is also male). Then Oreo will mark his territory. Oreo eats and drinks out of bowl, and is on a diet of a few pellets, some greens, and some timothy hay. We have been fostering him for about a 6 weeks. We had initially agreed to just babysit him, but his owner's son became very allergic and she asked us to just take him and find him a new home. He was overweight and had very long nails when we got him. We had weaned him off of eating only pellets, got him to lose some weight, and trimmed his nails twice, and he is much healthier now. He has soft, thick fur that feels like velvet. He is social and has gotten along well with our dogs. He was timid at first but now he isn't afraid of them. He loves to play with balloons and push them around! He doesn't mind being held or brushed, as long as you are calm and gentle with him. We were thinking about keeping him, but he doesn't get along with our rabbit because they are both males. Oreo would do best in a quieter home, He doesn't mind our old, calm, sleepy dogs. He does not like dogs that get in his face or bark a lot. Oreo likes people but would do better in a home without young children. Rabbits are prey animals and feel threatened easily by young kids. I have some young kids and some older ones, and he prefers the older ones. Oreo comes with a cage, two litter boxes, a hidey cave, a play tunnel, a small animal carrier, two food dishes, two water bottles, nail clippers, some food, lots of pine bedding, and half of a package of timothy hay. He is a sweet little bun and we hope you enjoy him as much as we have. Because we don't want him to be animal food or an object for mistreatment, and because he comes with a lot of supplies, we are asking a $100 rehoming fee, that we may be willing to reduce for the right owner.
