Craigslist needs to start charging for pet ads in order to get rid of scammers. At the very least, please speak to the seller by phone, listen to their voice not through emails or texts. If they say they are too busy or working and can only text, that is a clear indication that something is very wrong. Tell them you will call them at their convenience. If you need to send a deposit make sure it is only through PAYPAL. Paypal will take money out of their account if you do not receive the puppy. Lastly, Use common sense!
