We are currently recruiting for a Power Equipment Operator to join our Warehouse located in the Orangeburg, NY office. The Power Equipment Operator will prepare, process and move merchandise productively and accurately according to established guidelines in order to meet location standards. Practice safety awareness. Will work independently and in a team as assigned and move between job functions as needed. Job functions may include but are not limited to: order consolidation, picking, packing, replenishment, shipping, receiving, inventory, and returns processing. Processing must be completed in a timely manner to maintain established department and location standards/goals. Functional Duties: • Picks replenishment for pick lines • Loads inventory into pick lines • Load and unload trailers, scans merchandise, build pallets and label merchandise • Pick, pack and merge orders • Put inventory away into designated locations • Participate in inventory counts • Performs manual, computer, or RF functions to enter data in systems • Operates multiple types of power equipment • Adheres to company policies and procedures; follows department training guidelines, best practices and operating procedures • Keeps work area neat and clean • Works well with fellow Associates, Assistant Managers and Managers • Follows all location safety guidelines Experience/skills and requirements: • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly • Ability to follow instructions and take directions • Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately • Ability to safely operate hand and power equipment • Ability to read, write and perform basic math and computer operations • Attention to detail • Must be able to understand English, Spanish is a plus. • Must be available for overtime during peak season and occasionally during regular periods The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the duties performed by employees in this position.
