Seeking the most epic, kindest, hard-working, and versatile personal assistant ever. Aloha, My name is Jason and as the title says, I’m looking for a personal assistant. However, I’m not looking for just any personal assistant. I’m looking for a Jack or Jill of all trades or many talents. I feel this opportunity could be perfect for someone who wants long-term stability and wants to feel appreciated for their commitments and talents. So here’s the kind of unicorn I’m looking for… A reliable, honest, neat, and orderly person to… 1. Help keep my home in immaculate shape. I live in Lower Kula and it tends to get a bit dusty. I’m also kind of like a tornado leaving things scattered across the house in lazy dude fashion. I need someone who can keep the house clean, dishes done, laundry washed, etc, etc. Basic housekeeping stuff. 2. Do random shopping/errands. I don’t particularly like going to stores and don’t have much time to do so. Therefore, I need someone to do Costco, Target, Mana food runs, etc. I live a very healthy lifestyle so it’s imperative that you know how to read ingredients, decipher good organic/non-GMO food and ensure that I’m eating only the best quality food possible. 3. Cook healthy meals and do meal prep. I usually tend to cook for myself most of the time and enjoy doing so but would like someone to help me in this department as well. 4. Follow up with any customers in my business or communicate with people in my life when voicemails, emails, etc pile up and become too burdensome for me to handle the load. 5. Help keep my body in tip-top shape. I tend to surf a lot which often leaves me very sore. An ideal assistant would have some sort of experience in massage or bodywork and have a decent understanding of how anatomy works. I wanted to include this in the job description NOW because I want to be upfront and honest about exactly what I’m looking for and need. The last thing I want is someone feeling like I’m being inappropriate when I ask for a foot or back rub. If this bothers you or seems inappropriate for a personal assistant job, I totally get and respect your feelings and that's why I'm mentioning this upfront. This clearly isn’t the right gig for you. I’m not looking for an intimate partner for this gig, but I do want my assistant to intimately know me and know all the ways to optimize my life to its fullest potential. So basically, I need an all-star in my life. I have a lot of incredible opportunities in front of me over the next year and I’d love to have someone by my side to assist me in making sure I accomplish as much of it as possible. If you’re able to help me with that, I will be more than happy to do my best to ensure it’s the greatest job ever. Here are some more random details to better help you decide if you want to apply for this job… * I live in Lower Kula (upcountry) * Starting around 20 hours a week. I’m open to creating a 40 hour week if it’s serving both of us well. * Starting pay is $25 an hour. I understand a massage therapist should be paid more than $25 an hour so please spare me any emails berating me for the pay. It is my full intention to find someone who can prove their value to me and I’d love to pay something closer to $50 an hour for this job in the future, but it has to make financial sense on my part obviously. I get that we live in Maui and it's crazy expensive here. Help me so that I can help you by paying you more than $25 an hour. * Tech savvyness is a huge plus. I run some digital businesses online and am trapped in the tech world. * Prefer someone who plans to stay in Maui long-term. Ideally, I’d love for this job to last for the next decade if it’s working for us both. * I recently got divorced and during that marriage, I was a stepfather to a wonderful boy and girl ages 11 and 9. They are currently on the mainland but it is my deepest desire to have them return to Maui which means on occasions, I may have the kiddos. Therefore, you must be fantastic and reliable around kids and be extra helpful with any needs the ex-wife may have. We’re still great friends and get along well. I want to ensure that always exists.
