I am a single’s act—voice, guitar and Roland rhythm machine looking for a musician buddy to form a DUO and play Hudson Valley (North New Jersey) clubs, wineries, restaurants, and staged venues. My comfort zone for voice is Classic Rock, Blues, Rock, as well as (crossover) Country from artists including: Beatles, Ben E. King, B.J. Thomas, Brenda Lee, Carol King, CCR, Classics IV, Conway Twitty, Crystal Gale, Dion Warwick, Dobie Gray, Don McLean, Dusty Springfield, Eagles, Elvis, Everly Brothers, Four-Tops, Four Seasons, Freddy Scott, Gloria Gayner, Gloria Estefan, Hank Cochran, Herb Albert, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Lee, Johnny Rivers, Juice Newton, Mammas & Pappas, Peaches & Herb, Peter & Gordon, Pointer Sisters, Ray Charles, Righteous Brothers, Ronettes, Roy Orbison, Neil Sadaka, Sam &Dave, Shirelles, Smokey Robinson, Steve Winwood, Survivor, Temptations, Van Morrison, Willie Nelson... and still more. My partner will build from this list from artists mainly in these genres. I am not interested in ‘alternative’ ‘metal’, ‘punk’ ‘grunge’ etc.--just tunes for listening, dancing, and memories. It’s been some time since I earned a living performing. Now, I would like to perform quality (local) gigs at a leisurely pace. I am less interested in ‘bar’ gigs till two in the morning and ordinarily closed to ‘open mikes’. The GOLDEN RULE is that ‘Bandmates’ are buddies as well as drug free (which includes binging).
