Tropic Industries is seeking an entry level Counter Top installer to assist with installation of stone countertops and other surfaces. No experience required in the stone industry, but helpful related industry experience in construction, remodeling, tiling, caulking, carpentry and/or construction a plus, but not required. A successful candidate will have the ability to represent our company by interacting with customers and contractors with a positive & professional attitude. This position reports to the Lead Installer onsite and Operations Manager. Call six0nine two6five one7nine9 for more information between the hours of 8am - 4:30 pm Monday -Friday. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include working outside the typical schedule of Mon-Fri, and overtime • Able to complete a satisfactory background check (criminal and motor vehicle), and drug screen • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record • Maintain professional appearance • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure & learn to read and interpret installation drawings • Must be able to safely use hand tools and power tools • Must be able to lift 100+ pounds • Must be able to wear protective equipment that includes steel toe shoes, eye wear, hard hats, and face mask when required. • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift, squat and stand for long periods • Must be proficient in using GPS system • Candidate musts be able to speak, read and write English and communicate effectively by phone; Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus • Training will be provided The Preferred Candidate Will Possess: • Previous experience with home improvement, design, granite, flooring and/or cabinetry preferred, but not required • Willing to learn the process of installing granite, quartz, and/or solid surface counter tops • Willing to learn the fabrication process and reading blue prints & shop drawings • Excellent organizational skills and be task driven • A strong work ethic, be honest, punctual and a positive team player • License: valid driver's license (Required) • Language: English required, Bilingual in English/Spanish (Preferred) • Work authorization: Required within the United States of America.
