Our mission is to preserve, share, and develop our Hispanic Heritage through the art of Zarzuela. La Zarzuela, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 Florida nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve, share, and develop our Hispanic Heritage through the art of Zarzuela, by passing it on to the younger generations and updating the musical genre to our ever-changing society. We carry out our mission through performance, education and research. Our dedicated team consists of Director of Artistic Education Lucia Peluffo Panizza, Musical Director Eduardo Calcaño, Artistic Director Jorge Arcila, and Executive Director Daniel Daroca. Together with a team of passionate performers and lovers of zarzuela, we work to elevate the genre to the pre-eminent position generally accorded opera. A committed body of volunteers and collaborators supports and furthers their artistic endeavors.
