Please come help us celebrate the opening of two new micro-housing coliving projects: The Freya and The Karsti! We welcome potential and current residents, supporters of the projects, and anyone else interested in these innovative new buildings. The event will feature tours of model units and common areas. Appetizers and beverages will be provided in outdoor locations. Masks will be required in indoor locations. For the safety of our residents, all visitors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Tours will be occurring simultaneously at both locations to allow visitors to check out both buildings. Locations: The Karsti 1501 NW 59th St Seattle, WA 98107 The Freya 8311 15th Ave NW Seattle, WA 98117 About The Freya and The Karsti: • New micro-housing apartment buildings designed from the ground up as affordable market-rate housing. • Operated by management company and coliving specialists, Open Door, the buildings will function as coliving communities, providing residents with both private spaces and well-appointed common gathering spaces. • Upper level units are double-height spaces with a small bed loft, freeing up room on the main level for work space or living room furnishings. • Both projects are participating in the MFTE affordable housing program, offering a total of 34 units rent-stabilized at $800/month. • With over 3,000 sf of common living space at both properties, The Karsti and The Freya were specifically designed to foster community without compromising privacy.
