Description
This is a seasonal thing, to get together on the porch and play some original progressions, some Real Book tunes -- some blues, soul but basically an opportunity for medium to experienced jazz players to come together now and sit on the porch and play to an audience of passerby's. 2-3 musicians deep on each instrument as people come/go and maybe someone needs to practice a bit more and then come back in a few weeks when more solid, or maybe someone is waiting for everyone else to come up to a level they are already at, or people can't make it, etc. I'm thinking though a regular Thursday or Friday night thing, if i'm in town, and maybe somebody else can host if I"m away. Horns, strings, kits, whatever. If vocals, better to play at least one other instrument marginally well or you may be sitting and listening a lot during jams.
I have a beautiful Victorian in Brownes, electronic keyboard and drums already here (you can adjust to your needs or bring your own). No drugs, no bloated egos, no Trumpers (sorry, had my full of that BS and those guys don't seem to be able to STFU).
Anyway, not sure if this is going to work out but hit me up and let's see if there is interest out there in Spokane.
