Wine & Hip Hop: Old School VS New(er) School Our Wine & Hip Hop Series continues... The main difference between old school hip hop and new school hip hop is in the BEATS. Old School Hip Hop has less beats per track and simple verbiage. Newer Hip Hop has 6-8 beats per track and the words are more complex and twice as fast. Which do you prefer? We will battle Classic Hip Hop Artists such as LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, and KRS-One against Newer (but not New-New) artists such as Kanye West, Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar.
