We are delighted to open our doors to the community for a day of free classes, raffles, music and a chance to meet our lovely teachers . Come explore our beautiful community yoga studio in the heart of downtown Sonora, meet our teachers and enjoy a free yoga or meditation class. We will be holding a raffle at 10 dollars a ticket for a free month of classes, along with other prizes including two New Lula Lemon Yoga Mats, Jewelry by Stone and Matterhttps://www.stoneandmatter.com/ as well as some great yoga books.The Day's events will be open to all. Please bring a water bottle, a mat if you have one and your smile. We look forward to meeting you! -The Yoga Loft Team https://yogaloftsonora.com/Schedule 10-11am Align & Open- Jessica This hatha yoga style class incorporates both active and passive stretching, a bit of slow flow to get circulation going in the body, and a lot of mindful movements that will leave you feeling like you just had a great massage! 11:30am-12:30pm Inspirational Meditation Service- Simon How to move beyond suffering to clarity is the primary focus of this practice. There will be a 15 minute discussion, 10 minutes of body energizing work, 10 minutes of breathing practice, and two or three practices to stop the mind. 12:45-1:45pm Sun Salutes & Chillaxing Restorative- Paul &Cherie Sun Salutes with Paul Heat up the body with Surya Namaskar- salutations to the sun. This sequence is a set of twelve postures accompanied by the breath in honor of the solar energy in all of us. It is a traditional yoga warm up designed to stretch and tone all the muscles and ligaments, preparing the body for the physical yoga practice. Chillaxing Restorative with Cherie. Allow the inner clock to slow down as the the body naturally assimilates the benefits of the sun salutations. Leave the effort and the doing behind as you let your body relax into a unique restorative pose. Sävasana , with gentle massage (you can opt out of massage) , will follow. 2-2:50pm Meditation- Dorothy What are you looking for in your life? Do you want to reduce stress, ease pain and suffering, find peace?Through Meditation with use of the breath and the mantra we will begin the process of quieting the mind. Namaste 3-4pm Power Flow- Dellamay & Chelsea Experience the union of body, mind, and spirit through strengthening and stretching, igniting your energy through connection with breath and movement. Through incorporating fluid movements of vinyasa flow yoga and using the inner fire of your core to energize and power your body, this class will help you to dive deep into your practice, and connect with Self. 4:15-5pm Chants for Well-Being- Live Kirtan Band A Call and Response Chanting musical experience designed to gather awareness and concentration and be fully present in the moment. A heart opening practice for coming back to the self and a powerful way to commune with others. No experience required and all are welcome.
