Join us for a summertime Chi celebration of the 2021 Freedom Fellowship cohort! This summer, Black and Brown youth from across the city of Chicago joined a legacy of Fellows seeking justice, fighting for liberation, and organizing for positive change. As the Summer Leadership Institute comes to an end, come celebrate these powerful young people and learn about their work to come! Free food and open to all. 5:30pm-6pm: Welcome Dinner 6:00pm-7pm: Presentations 7:30-8pm: Closing The Chicago Freedom School builds intergenerational partnerships and facilitates programming for young people of color while offering training to individuals and organizations committed to movement building. We are rooted in legacies of justice and liberation, transformative and restorative justice, anti-oppression and healing justice frameworks.
