About the company: Liquid and Grit provides information and recommendations to social casino companies. We break down games, features, and content in games like Slotomania, Candy Crush Saga, Summoners War. We are located in California but have an entirely remote workforce. About you and your role as a Teardown Analyst: You have a solid understanding of video games. You can play a game for the first time and then confidently breakdown the game’s components, mechanics, and tropes. You have familiarity with the gaming industry and can pull from your own knowledge when comparing and analyzing apps. You can write objectively about the experience of playing specific games. You are confident in your ability to write documents about games that will be read by game designers. You are fastidious in fact checking your work and finding research that backs up your statements. Requirements: Must have access to an iOS device to play (and take screenshots) of the games. Ability to work in google documents No prior experience necessary, outside of a familiarity with video games (preferred) Location: This role is a contract role (within United States preferred) that will be done remotely—meaning you can work wherever you want—but it will be ongoing, consistent work. Hiring process: At Liquid and Grit, we hire using tests so that we ensure—as best we can—that we hire on abilities and not biases. There are usually three to four tests and the process takes less than two weeks. The tests are exactly what you would be doing during your work with us—so it's a good opportunity for you to see what you'd be doing. Once hired, you will still be in a “hiring period” for several weeks as we further evaluate your abilities within our team.
