Description

The 1st Annual LQ Foundation Black & White Gala in Charlotte, NC Date: Saturday 11/20 Time: 7:00 pm Location: 339 South Hawthorne Street Mount Holly, NC 28120 The LQ Foundation was created in memory of Laquitta Jenkins Butler. She never really had a whole lot in life but the little she did have if somebody was in need, she would try her best to try to help them, or find someone who could. One of her favorite sayings was “Love is what love does”. As you will see, when you read the history and explore our page, that our Mother and her children went through many trials and tribulations and one thing that we learned was love for ourselves and how to love one another. That’s why with our mission and vision in mind we want to show families and individuals that we Love them no matter what they are going through and we will do our best to help with the need they have in their life, if we can’t personally do it, we will try to find a direction to lead them in. Therefore, we look forward to forming partnerships with different community outreach programs in our area and working together with them. We all know it takes a village So please feel free to join us we have plenty of volunteer opportunities and we also welcome your financial support as well. The LQ Foundation was founded in memory of our mother Laquitta Marie Jenkins-Butler. She passed away April 16th 2017, leaving a legacy for us to carry on. She was a woman that would give her last to help anyone in need. She didn’t have much but if she didn’t have it she would find someone that did. Laquitta was a single mother who lost her children because she was addicted to drugs, she managed to overcome her drug addiction and help others do the same with her faith and determination. She was a recipient of a lot of help, that is why when she saw someone in need she tried her best to help because she knew how it felt to be in need. No matter sex, race or religion she gave assistance where ever she could She showed Love to all, one of her Favorite saying was “love is what love does”. So as a foundation, we intend to do our best to be a help to those in need.
