Enjoy The First Friday's Free at the PS Cultural Center With Screenings of All Your Retro Favorites! Come out and enjoy the cool- air-conditioned ( powered by solar!) theatre with your friends, socialize, find out what's coming up for the month, and relax- it's summertime in Palm Springs! At this time all our events require social distancing and masking up. Please do not come if you are exhibiting any symptoms or feel sick. We are cleaning our theatres between screenings and all of our staff is getting tested regularly. Take advantage of our pre-drink special! BARBARELLA The setting is the planet Lythion in the year 40,000, when Barbarella (Jane Fonda) makes a forced landing while travelling through space. She acts like a female James Bond, vanquishing evil in the forms of robots and monsters. She also rewards, in an uninhibited manner, the handsome men who assist her in the adventure. The Palm Springs Cultural Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established to encourage the development of the cultural arts in the Coachella Valley with a specific focus in the areas of film, fine art, live performance, dance, music, and community festivals. The Center is dedicated to advancing education, to nurturing community-wide participation in the cultural arts, and to sponsoring scholarship awards for deserving individuals.
